 2005 World Cup Fly Report

  Judge: Rick Schoening

Judging the World Cup was definitely a dream come true for this fancier. I met so many wonderful people on my 8 week adventure.  I really am honored that you had the confidence to elect me to this prestigious position.

The hospitality demonstrated was truly exceptional. What a brotherhood this hobby of ours is!! Words can’t describe the gratitude I have for each and every one of the people who put me up in their homes and fed me.  My wife Carolyn had the pleasure of accompanying me during the England leg. A special thanks to Graham Dexter,  for sleeping on the floor.  Carol and I slept in his bed!  For John Wanless and Peter Harper for taking us around to show off their part of England. We also spent a day with my old mate John Huntington. A few pints made their way down my neck during that fun trip to York.

Everyone was so accommodating towards me. The place I spent the longest was South Africa. The fliers down there are a serious bunch of competitors. Only Southern California rivals their numbers and competitiveness.

Time was short in so many places, that I really didn’t get a chance to really get to know all of the people I stayed with.

I have been asked what was the best part of my trip? Truly;” coming home” I really did miss my family, especially my 8 year son Liam. Worst part; was the time on the airplane and rushing to make connecting flights due to delays and weather. I did manage to read 6 novels! SO I made the best of it. I no longer have a fear of flying. It’s like getting on the bus now.

The following is the breakdown of the scoring as they occurred. If you want more information, purchase the video of my trip. All of the proceeds go to the World Cup organization.

                                               ---------------------------------------

Alex Hamilton- 20 birds flown. 5-6-6-5-7-6-5-8-6-11-9-10-7-6-76.  Q 1.3  D 1.2 = 204.36 Alex’s kit was bogged down in extreme heat and humidity that just arrived the day before I got there.  He flew them at 7:45 am.  After the 20 minutes was up, I went in the house to add up the score. When I came out, the kit had lifted and was breaking big!! I was able to see why Alex had won his region.!

Mike Baldwin- 17 birds flown-6-5-5-5-8-5-7-8-5-5-7-6-9-7-5- Q 1.3 D 1.1=  132.99  Mike’s kit flew at 7:00 am and had muggy conditions like Alex’s. His team came out smoking, then went flat at the ten minute mark.  Mike fed us classic Texas rib-eye steaks for supper and breakfast.!! He put me up in the “Cheney suite”

Larry Boggan- 20 birds flown-5-6-5-6-6-5-7-6-5-8-6- Q 1.5 D 1.3=126.75 Larry’s kit had some real nice speed on the breaks. He needs to work on some frequency. I finally got to meet Ken Easley, who scribed for me. Larry hauled me all over New Mexico.  I had a great time.

Collin Griffith- 15 birds flown. 6-6- = DQ. Collin had a freak thing happen with a little recessive red hen hurting herself during a spin and literally crashed with a sprained wing. It was a hell ova  spin too. Collins 14 other birds rolled their butts off. He chanced flying only 15 birds and Murphy’s Law got him.

Eric Schoelkopf- 18 birds flown-6-5-6-7-5-6-5-5-6-6-8-5-6-5-5-7-8-9-8-5-5-12-11- Q 1.6 D 1.4= 389.76 Eric flew a very nice team . He had them changing directions and breaking nicely. He had some real crackers in there.

Dewayne Holmes- 20 birds flown-13-6-6-11-5-5-15-12-5-5-6-14-10-9-5-11-7-6-5-9-8-11-10-6-11-7-13-7-5-9-6- Q 1.7 D 1.5=1030.2 Dewayne’s team had the best overall quality of speed in the breaks. I don’t think he had one slouch in that kit. Three white racing homers joined his team shortly after time in. They stayed in his team for nearly ten minutes. I would have liked to see this kit without the racers!! Nice Job Dewayne.

Eddie Verdugo-20 birds flown- 5-9- Q 1.6 D 1.5. then two birds left his team never to return. So Eddie ended up with only 33.6 For the record I kept scoring and here is what I called.-12-7-5-11-5-6-5-9-5-7-13-5-9-6-8-6-8-7-10. Eddie would have been a contender if  Mr. Murphy hadn’t shown up!!

Jose Luis Lorenzo- 20 birds flown-5-8-7-6-9-6-6-8-7-5-9-6-7-6-9-16-10-13-12-10-16. Q 1.5 D 1.4= 720.3 Luis’s team was racking it up until the trigger bird left the team and landed. I don’t they did one more break after that happened. He hand tossed that trigger bird at the beginning and I thought it was maybe an iffy bird. I was wrong about that! She was the kit master! A hell of a spinner too.

Jerry Higgins- 20 birds flown 8-7-5-6-12-5-6-7-10-5-6-5-9-6- Q 1.5 D 1.4=249.9 Jerry’s kit just didn’t get it together as a team. He had two blue checks that were 1.9 for speed in there. Jerry flew a cock kit just for fun the day before and was really a sight to see. He should that team on fly day! The “Factory “ continues to produce them deep fast spinners.

Thurmond Davis- 19 birds flown-9-13-5-8-7-8-6-5-10-5-15-6-5- Q 1.4 D 1.4=303.8. Thurmond’s team had that “stay on the one wing” habit that day. Every break came when they did change directions. Thurmond has to deal with landed jumbo jets coming over his house. His birds didn’t even flinch when those planes roared over them.

Keith London-19 birds flown 7-5-11-7-5-5-6-5-6-5-11-5-8-5-7-7-6-5-10-7-8-10-8-9-Q 1.5 D 1.6= 504. Keith flew some nice deep fast pigeons. He had some over active birds for a while. Once they settled in, they did a fine job. Keith also has the airplanes roaring by.

Alton Davis- 20 birds flown-7-6-5-13-14-6-8-10-7-5-13-9-8-11-6-9-12 Q 1.4 D 1.4= 635.6 Alton’s team had to fight strong winds. This was an old bird team that could have placed much higher if conditions would have been a little more favorable. Alton is a great competitor. I had the pleasure of meeting Willie Wright while with Alton. Willie graciously gave some young birds to a young man while I was there. He just let him take his pick out of the young bird loft. I truly good thing to do to encourage a new fancier.

Hank Lumpkins. –20 birds flown 5-10-5-9-8-7- Q 1.5 D 1.5= 121.5 . Hank had the same nasty wind as Alton. Outbirds added to the wind affect. He had some nice individuals in that team.

Ken Firl- 20 birds flown.6-7-5-8-5-6-5-6-5 Q 1.3 D 1.1=75.79 Ken’s kit flew in clear blue skies and stayed on one wing the whole time. Ken had just moved into this new home and needs to breed some more birds with some frequency and depth.

Chuck Roe- 20 birds flown. 6-7-5-5-5-6-6-5-6-7-7-6- Q 1.2 D 1.2 =102.24 Chuck was fishing in Canada on fly day! His wife did the honors. I judged his team from the roof of his home! The kit needed more teamwork.

Joe Borges- 19 birds flown. 7-5-5-10-6-7-6-5-8-6-5-6-8-6-5-8- Q 1.5 D 1.5=254.25. Joe’s team was a very young bunch. He had just moved away from falcon alley Utah, into this new spot. This was the first group of youngsters he had been able to fly in years without a hawk attack. I would like to see this kit once it matures. Joe did have some out birds that cost him some nice breaks.

Joe Emberton-18 birds flown.  6-5-7-5-10-5-7-9-11-5-16-8-6-5-6- Q 1.6 D 1.4=367.36 Joe had to work so a friend released his team for him. Clear blue sky , but the team worked pretty well.  Some real smokers in there.

Don Ouellette-20 birds flown. 11-7-13-9-12-15-12-10-8-5-5-5- Q 1.6 D 1.6=512 Don’s kit came out smoking then shut it down after about 8 minutes. He had at least one bird in the there that showed the perfect hole to me and my scribe. It was a sight to see. First one of the trip.  Later on Don showed me what it was like to watch a top notch kit flown just before dark. Don’s son flew this kit and I will tell you, I saw some excellent roll in the air. Maybe it was the low light, but I doubt it. These Ouellette boys know how to breed perfect rolling birds. There are a lot of fanciers winning today because of the Ouellette brothers ability in breeding the real deal.

Mike Wolden-20 birds flown. 6-5-7-7-5-6-5-7-10-6-7-5-9-7-5-6-6-7-5-6-5-7-10-5-8-5-7-5-9- Q 1.5 D 1.3=405.6 Mike flew a  very active kit. He calls his loft the HALO loft. Hawk Attack Left Overs! He would be a serious threat if he didn’t have to feed all of the peregrines and red tails on the Bay.

Gary Stephens- 19 birds flown.6-10-9-11-9-12-5-9-9-6-6-5-11-5-6-6-7-11-5-5-8-10-5-6-11-7-5 Q 1.5 D 1.4 =590.1 Gary’s kit was a very easy one to judge. They were very uniform.  Gary has been competing for years. He is just moving to a new spot that hopefully will alleviate some raptor problems.

Linne Rose- 20 birds flown. 5-6-11-9-9-6-11-8-7-5-7-7-8-6- Q 1.5 D 1.5=285.75 Linne has had horrible falcon problems and recently added five youngsters to his team. They wandered from the kit too much which cost him many big breaks. I sure enjoyed the style of the roll I saw there.

Rich Hayes- 18 birds flown. 6-5-5-8-10-5-8-8-5- Q 1.3 D 1.4=127.4  Rich’s kit was way off! I have seen this bunch really crank it. I told him he over “managed” them!!! Rich is always a top contender . These were all young birds since Rich had recently moved. Old birds is where Mr. Hayes shines.

Clay Palamides- 19 birds flown. 12-10-6-9-8-13-7-8-5-5-5-5-17- Q 1.6 D 1.6=458.24 This kit was full of excellent birds. They were ruined by a damned red-tail who pushed them up into the jet stream 8 minutes after release. I gave him a timeout and the birds finally came down and did one monster break before the time was called. All old hens. Clay has left my region to move to Colorado. He will be missed as a friend and flyer.

Rodney Forbush- 18 birds flown. 12-6-5-5-7-6-6-7-6-8-7-5-10-9-6-5-5-5-6-5-8-7-8-6  Q1.4  D 1.3=445.9 Rod’s kit had the misfortune of being released at the beginning of a severe thunderstorm. The hail started falling at 16 minutes into his fly with gale force winds. Rod was lucky enough to get back the stock bird candidates from that team.  I sure wish I could have seen this kit during better weather.

Tom Monson- 20 birds flown. 10-5-13-6-6-12-14-11-6-6-5-8-5-6    Q 1.5 D 1.5=389.25 Tom’s team scared him to death a few times by almost landing early. They did land early at 18 minutes. Most of their work was done in the first 10 minutes. Tom had two old stock hens in the team. One 12 and the other 8 years old. Tom made arrangements to visit a millionaire’s racing pigeon loft later that day. Wow!!! What a setup he had.

Marco Solario- 20 birds flown. 6-7-5-12-8-5-6-8-5-9-11- Q 1.5 D 1.3 =204.75 Marco’s team flew kind a high and had some really nice individuals. He could have used some more team work. Marco is really a keen competitor. Be watching for him. He is one of the younger flyers. It is good to see the young flyers doing well.

Dennis Berry- 20 birds flown. 11-5-14-6-7-6-8-10-6-8-5-7-5-8-6-7-12-12-8-11-7-6-5-8- Q 1.5 D 1.4 =505.68 A very nice consistent kit that went a little high. Dennis was another great host. He sure had one of the nicest studs of rollers I had the pleasure to handle. The expression on his birds is tremendous. Keep it up Dennis.

Dick Kollmann- 19 birds flown. 8-9-10-5-8-6-6-5-13-10-6-7-7-6-10-9-5-5-8-7- Q 1.4 D 1.2= 324.24 Dick’s team flew a nice pattern and were easy to judge. He just needs to keep heading in the direction he is going.. He has  a beautiful place to fly.

Jerry Holder- 20 birds flown.  5-6-5-14-12-11-15-12-16-5-18-6-12  Q 1.5 D 1.4=621.6 Jerry flew a very good old bird team. These guys broke big!! A few more ¾ breaks and he would have been threatening the leader.  Jerry is one of the nicest fellars you will ever meet. A good ol’ Southern Boy that knows how to fly rollers!

Danny Courtney- 20 birds flown. 7-5-10-11-13-8-7-10-6-5-5-7-7-5-9-10-11-10-5-12- Q 1.5 D 1.4= 525.0 Danny’s kit came out smoking! At 9 minutes a Cooper’s hawk spooked them into the hawk mode and they really slowed down their flight speed. This kit was a very serious contender

Bobby Bradley- 20 birds flown. 6-7-10-5-6-9-5-5-8-5-6-8-5-5-6-7-5- Q 1.3 D 1.2 =184.08 Bobby’s team flew in the same conditions as the Texas boys. Humid like can’t believe. It was at 6:30 in the morning and our hair was so wet from the humidity and sweat, that it look like we just came out of the shower. Bobby’s team couldn’t lift and landed at 15:14 ! A real southern gentleman!

Richard Miller- 17 birds flown. 5-7-5-5-5-9-6-12- Q 1.5 D 1.5= 148.5 A team of excellent rollers who refused to work for us. Dick has been on the recovery road since the mysterious plague took so many of his good birds. He showed me a string of bands off of his birds that died,  that sobered a guy right up. I sure hope that is behind him.

Wendell Spisak- 20 birds flown. 6-10-13-7-12-10-6-9-10-5-8-11- Q 1.4 D 1.2 =290.64 A nice team that looked like they could have used a boost.  Wen’s team sure had that instant breaking in them. They should do well in the fall NBRC fly. It was good to see Wen and Dennis Burke. He gave me some tips on my overseas trip.

Joe Bob Stuka- 20 birds flown. 8-15-10-16-5-8-7-10-5-10-13-9-6-8-13-10-6-12-16-6-7-6-8-14-10-15-6-5-5-8-5-10-9-5-8-5-5-6-8-9-7-5-6-10-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy cow what a team! Q 1.6 D 1.4=1394.04 Our 2005 World Cup winner! This kit was on fire! Joe Bob said he gave them the “MO JO”. I sure wish more of you guys could have seen this team. They never really stopped working.  Congratulations Joe Bob!

Jim Spring- 20 birds flown. 10-8-5-5-6-7-7-6-7-6-8-5-6-5-7-8- Q 1.3 D 1.3=196.04 Jim’s team flew really nice. I felt they needed a boost. They flew too low to really cut it loose. Jim has a real neat set up.  Joe Testa entertained the judge. I got to see the “neighborhood” in North Boston. Testa really is a character.

Dave Szabatura- 18 birds flown. 6-11-8-5-13-7-6-5-5-9-7-5-10-8-5-8- Q 1.4 D 1.4 =297.92 Dave’s kit went up and did a nice show. They fought some wind and were lost behind some trees. Dave hauled me to Ron Kumro’s and then on to Niagara Falls. We went on the tour boat for a close up view. Pretty amazing is all I can say. Thanks Dave!

Don Lunau- 20 birds flown. 7-6-5-6-10-6-11-8-15-7-10-6-9-12-10-8-7-8-12-5-6-10-8-8-7-5-5   Q 1.1 D 1.0=271.7 Don’s team flew tree top high and couldn’t really commit to deep rolls. They were all old birds . Interesting enough is that I scored him the exact score he got in the regional! Consistent kit I guess. Don carried me around and took me to meet Ross Vito. He is in his 80’s and doing great. He has a loft full of birds down from Abdul Alizadeh. Pure Bill Barratt strain. There sure were some beauties in there.

Ferid Sabic- 20 birds were flown. 6-5-5-5-5-6-6-5-6-5-7-5-5- Q 1.3 D 1.4=129.22 Ferid is a new fancier who’s team was a little too well fed and didn’t do much team work. Prior to release we had a nice Bosnian/Danish barbecue. I was really feeling the jet-lag about then. Another shot of homemade schnapps and I would have been out on the spot!!

Henk Nyman-20 birds were flown. 7-8-7-10-12-6-6-5-8-13-7-6-5-14-18-14-16-17-16- Q 1.6 D 1.5=940.8 Henk flew an awesome team of birds. He may have won this fly if a sparrow hawk hadn’t taken a bird out of a 17 bird break. They shut down the last five minutes before one last nice 16 break . AN old bird team that would make any of us proud.

Heine Bjiker- 20 birds were flown. 17-8-5-12-6-19-10-10-9-6-5-10-12-5-11-8-15-5-18-16-8-15-7-6-10- Q 1.5 D 1.6=1267.2 This my friends, was a world class kit of Birmingham rollers. They did a perfect full turn before time was called!! Strong winds preventing this kit from scoring much higher. They broke behind trees and out of judging view numerous times. There was also a mis communication of a timeout due to wind conditions that actually cost  him several more breaks. He’ll be back!!

Sean Fern- 20 birds were flown. 10-8-6-5-6-8-5-10-5-8-7-6-9-12-10-5-6- Q 1.6 D 1.6= 430.08. Sean’s team was ruined by strong winds. I saw at least two perfect spinners in his team showing the hole. This was one of the best yearling teams Graham Dexter has seen in competition. I sure wish I could have seen them in more favorable conditions. I believe this team was a combination of birds from Jim Folkes and Sean’s. The falcons have been tough on these two guys, so they teamed up.

Peter Handy- 20 birds were flown. 9-5-8-5-910-8-5-7-5-10-6-7-5-8-11-10-5-6-10-6-7-8-6-8-10-6-5-6-5-6-9-5-6 Q 1.5 D 1.4=632.1 Not too shabby of a showing for the 2004 World Champion. A few three quarter turns and things could have been different. Great flyer. Pete told me that” now that I have judged the World Cup, I must win it!” I am going be trying, Peter!

Paul Chantry- 20 birds were flown. 5-10-8-6-5-15-7-13-12-10-8-10-8-13-8-6-7-15-8-9-7-8-7-14-10-8-16-14-10-5-7-11-5-5- Q 1.4 D 1.2=888.72 Paul flew the best scoring kit in England. Good job! He has come along in competition very well and will no doubt continue to improve.

Des Murphy- 20 birds were flown. 7-10-9-5-12-5-6-10-5- Q 1.3 D 1.3=170.9 Des’s kit had strong winds and several out birds that really cost him a lot of points. His lofts were nicer than some homes I saw!! Exquisite garden!!

John Wanless 20 birds were flown. 8-7-6-10-9-8-5-10-16-7-6-8-10-13-5-14-6-8-10-6-12-7- Q 1.6 D 1.5.=724.8 John’s team had the misfortune to be flown late in the evening due to a stubborn old bird team that refused to land until very late. I feel John’s kit have had better quality points had they been viewed in better light.  I gotta hand it to him for getting them up and then down in pitch black darkness. John is quite a rollerman. He has the same family of rollers he did when he was a teenager in the 70’s.

Paul Joubert- 20 birds were flown.  7-8-6-9-8-11-7-5-5-7-5-5-7-13-5-5-8-6-6-7-10-7-6-11-5-10-9-8-9-5- Q 1.2 D 1.2=417.6 Paul had a very active kit and was the first flyer in South Africa.  Paul is a keen fancier and was on the prowl to obtaining some quality spinning birds to add to his existing stock.

Eugene Sequeira- 18 birds were flown. 5-5-5 Q 1.0 D 1.0 =15 Eugene’s kit never got going. They stayed on one wing the whole time. Too bad, as  Eugene had some darn nice looking birds in the kit boxes.

Cryi Edmunds --20 birds were flown. 5-6-5-8-5-6-5-7-8-9-10-6-5-5-8-5-6-13-7 Q 1.3 D 1.3= 256.88 Cryi’s team had some outbird problems that cost him numerous breaks. He was taking notes, so he’ll be back.

Tony Joseph- 20 birds were flown. 5-5-7-6-6-5-6-5-8-5-7-12-15-9-13-10  Q 1.4 D 1.5=407.4 Tony had a bird injure itself causing it to race through the kit like a falcon, causing them to not settle down until near the end of his time. After time was called they continued making half and three quarter turns for another 15 minutes!!!

Beyers Herbst --20 birds were flown. 5-6-12-11-9-10-13-5-15-7-8-7-5-7-15-5- Q 1.3 D 1.2=383.76 Beyer’s kit was a busy breaking team that was hurt by out birds. He had lots of action. He is new to the sport along with his father, Bennie. They are serious flyers. Keep an eye open for their names in the future.

Gerrit Celliers- - 18 birds were flown. 7-8-5-6-6-6-5-6-8-5-5-5-5-5-6- Q 1.2 D 1.3=127.92 Gerrit’s team consisted of birds hatched in 1997 and older!! A geriatric bunch that showed, that they were a hell of a team at one time. Gerrit realizes he needs to breed a new team. His birds never got together for any big breaks.

Tommy Stickling.- 18 birds were flown.- 5-7-12-5-7-5-5-5-5-6-6-6-5-6-6-8-5-5-6-8-5-5-Q 1.3 D 1.4=263.9 Tommy flew a very nice team that needed to break bigger. He had a very nice mealy baldhead in there.

Jim Taylor. 20 birds were flown.- 6-6-8-6-6-7-10-5-7-6-5-9-10-5-8-5-14-12-5-15-5-8-13-6-7-5-5-15-10-5-5- Q 1.4 D 1.2=669.76 Jim’s team had trouble lifting out of the yard. This kit showed me that it could break big. I bet if they would have gotten some altitude, they would have really racked up the score.

Gerry Naude. 20 birds were flown. 7-6-8-15-6-7-10-5-5-6-7-5-5 Q 1.4 D 1.2=221.76 Gerry is a new flyer that showed some potential. Keep an eye on this guy.

Jan Knoetze. 19 birds were flown.  5-8-7-5-8-5-7-6-5-10-5-9-8-5-5-6-8-7-5-6-7-5-5- Q 1.5 D 1.5= 353.25 Jan flew a very nice team with numerous exceptional birds. Out birds cost him some nice breaks.

Brian Mc Kenzie.- 20 birds were flown. 11-7-9-8-10-7-5-7-10-6-12-7-6-10-9-7-7-10-9-13-9-7-5-6-9-17-15-5-13- Q 1.5 D 1.6= 988.8 Brian’s team was on their way to first place when 7 old hens left the team at 13 minutes never to return. Brian is another new flyer from the land of the Spring Buck. Be watching for him in the years to come.

Fric De Beer. 20 birds were flown. 5-6-6-5-7-10-5-5-5   Q 1.2 D 1.4 =107.52 Frik’s kit decided to fly out of judging range for all but five minutes! A very hard working kit that drifted away and never returned until after time was up.  Only on fly day!!

Peet Du Plessis.  20 birds were flown.  8-5-7-6-7-8-10-9*5-11-7-10-6-8- Q 1.4 D 1.2=231.8 Peet had the misfortune of a racing pigeon join his team of yearlings and speed up their flight. The kit only rolled when the racer left the kit. A real shame as I saw some good potential Peet’s neighbor flies racers. Peet was going to mob fly all of his rollers the next race day to get even!!

Colyn Nel. 20 birds were flown. 8-5-11-5-9-8-12-11-15-5-6-7-6- Q1.5 D 1.5= 387 Colyn had some really nice spinners in the team. Out birds killed him. He would have been in the top bunch without those two independent birds.

Johnny Conradie. 20 birds were flown. 8-7-11-9-10-9-7-10-8-8-9-12-6-5-6-10-7-5-7-6-5- Q 1.3 D 1.3-368.42 Johnny had a team that decided to fly on one wing damn near the whole time.  They never lifted higher than 150 feet. This team had been brilliant on the last competition.

Andre Steenkamp. 18 birds were flown. Unfortunately three birds never joined his team, so no scoring could occur. The birds in the top kit showed 1.6 Quality and 1.5 depth. Andre had an over fly three days prior and had to add some substitutions.Score of 0

Riaan Kruger. 19 birds were flown.-7-5-13-8-5-7-6-16-10-8-7-13-5-5-8-6-11-6-7-5-5-5-5-8-6- Q 1.3 D 1.5=518.7 Riaan’s team flew too low most of the time. Hey made good figure eights, but were too low to the house to cut loose the big deep breaks that kit is known for. Riaan is a good competitor. He gets better every year.

Dave Lister. 20 birds were flown. 5-10-11-5-8-8-5-5-6-16-7-16-7-5-6-5-11-5-7-11-9-13-6-10-6-6-8-9-8-11-7-17-12-6-8-7-11- Q 1.5 D 1.4= 1054.2 A very outstanding team of rollers.  Dave has only been with this family for three years!! Looks like a good bunch of birds to keep working on. Dave was the first Aussie flyer. The Aussies have horrible falcon problems. This team is quite an accomplishment against those odds.

Adrian Gasparini. 5-6-12-5-5-6-13-5-7-9-5-5-8-6-5-6-8-5-6-10-9-6-15-6-6-5-11-8-6-8- Q 1.6 D 1.4= 656.32 Adrian flew a very good team that was robbed of numerous big breaks due to some out birds. He has too many dark checks in the team and can’t seem to figure out which one was the culprit!! After time was called a peregrine made numerous runs at his team.

Nick Tsoltoudis. 20 birds were flown.  10-8-6-5-8-9-10-7-8-10-5-10-5-13- Q 1.5 D 1.3= 325.65 Nick’s team had very strong winds that kept them swooping behind houses to hide from the wind.  Nick has qualified every time he has entered the World Cup! Definitely a top flyer. Nick showed the judge and Adrian what an Aussie muscle car can do on the streets of Sydney Australia. Nick has a classic 1969 Ford Falcon GT 351 with a blower sticking through the hood. I enjoyed the hell out of the ride.

Rodman Pasco. 20 birds were flown. 5-13-7-8-5-5-6- Q 1.4 D .4=121.52. Rod’s kit had very strong trade winds coming off of the Pacific slamming into the island of Oahu. His team came out rocking and then decided to just fight the wind.
